Beauty of tulip gardens at Takino Suzuran Park

The tulip fields are located in the central zone called the “Country Garden” within the park. There are around 160 varieties and 260,000 tulip bulbs planted, which is quite astonishing!

The tulip design has been updated starting from 2023. The upper garden features a mosaic art design with colorful mixed patterns, while the lower garden forms a rainbow-like flower field with beautiful arches.

Yellow, pink, red, white, orange—you’ll find tulips of various colors and shapes blooming in a truly vibrant and stunning.

What amazed me the most was the wide range of tulip varieties.

I used to associate tulips with the traditional image of vertical oval-shaped flowers in colors like red, white, and yellow. However, I discovered here that there are countless types and colors of tulips available!

Some tulips have such gorgeous shapes and colors that you’ll be amazed and fall in love with tulips even more.

In 2023, you can see the tulip gardens at Takino Suzuran Park from May 19th (Friday) to June 4th (Sunday).

Tulip Digging Event at Takino Suzuran Park

If you want to take the tulip experience to the next level, Takino Suzuran Park offers a unique activity called “tulip digging.”

After the peak season, visitors have the chance to dig up tulip bulbs from designated areas. It’s a hands-on experience that allows you to bring home a piece of the tulip magic. Surprisingly, you can get free tulip bulbs that you dig up at the event.

You cannot choose the color of the tulips, but it is a very nice event to receive beautiful tulips for free.
